2016-
The Waterside Centre provides a variety of activities for individuals to participate in. We change our programme of activities every quarter and everyone is asked what they would like to do in the next programme.
Cookery
Cookery groups run 2 or 3 days a week, depending on the amount of people interested. Discussions take place about what to cook each week -
Sewing
There is a variety of sewing that takes place during the week. Individuals are encouraged to make any items they would like for themselves.
Woodwork
Woodwork is a popular activity and individuals are supported to make a variety of decorative items that they then paint or varnish as appropriate. We can take orders for small items…
Art & Craft
So much of the decoration around the Centre is due to the wonderful work of those that attend. We work with a variety of mediums such as paint, plaster, wax, glass, wood & papier mache to achieve wonderful results.
Physical Activities
These days a great deal of emphasis is placed on the importance of keeping active in order to promote wellbeing. As much as possible we encourage people to engage in physical activities throughout the day.
